Channel Islands National Park is made up of five islands (Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, San Miguel, and Santa Barbara) and the surrounding ocean waters. In this incredibly unique national park, you can find plant and animal species found nowhere else on Earth. We chose to visit Santa Cruz Island, the biggest island in the park.

We booked our whole trip through Channel Islands Adventure Company, including our ferry tickets with Island Packers.
Island Fox
The island fox is native to the Channel Islands. The foxes on Santa Cruz are a subspecies found only on this particular island. They are friendly and will stop at nothing to steal your food. DO NOT FEED THE FOXES.
Island Packers and Channel Islands Adventure Company
We chose the Discovery Kayak Tour so we would have time to explore the island by sea and on foot. The tour was fantastic and took us through 4 caves. Our guide Hector was friendly, personable, and full of knowledge about the island.
