Carlsbad Caverns National Park is located in southern New Mexico. Currently, 120 caves have been discovered in this underground wonderland.
Check out our Youtube Video as we explore the caverns.
In the video, we rent audio guides for $5 from the Visitors Center and hike down the Natural Entrance into the Cave. We also explore the Big Room and take a tour of Kings Palace.
Over 30 miles of caves are available for public exploration in Carlsbad Caverns. The largest readily accessible cave chamber in North America is the Big Room which spans 8.2 acres. This part of the cave can be explored on your own or by taking one of the many tours available in the park.
