About Queen Of Adventure
Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by!
I’m Rheannon the Queen of Adventure a Georgia girl with a passion for traveling and exploring new places!
Do you ever sit at work and daydream about traveling to a new place or going on a new adventure?
You are not alone! I spent many years stuck in the rat race, bouncing around from job to job hoping to find happiness. At my last job, at least once a day, my coworker and I would look up and ask each other “What am I doing with my life?”
The past 15 years, I have been sooo caught up in societies definition of success (career, kids, white picket fence), I never stopped to think what success actually means to me. To me success means not having to live for the weekend! It means living a life I love everyday!
Adventure and exploring new places has always been something that I have been passionate about. Any chance I get, I am going on adventures and trying new things! I love sharing my journey with family and friends, and now, I hope to be able to share it all with you!

“I couldn’t have gotten better advice on where to go when I arrived in San Diego! Rheannon gave me several options around the area but my favorite was the Torrey Pines Hike. I never would’ve experienced those secret spots (rock swimming pool on the beach), if it wasn’t for her great advice. She pinpointed my hike right next to where my husband was playing golf at Torrey Pines so I was able to walk right over to the course to see him!”

My Story
Up until the summer of 2012, I had been living a pretty “normal” life. I graduated college, started working and rented an apartment not too far from where I grew up in Georgia. I was living a life, I was taught to live by society.
In August of 2012, my mom passed away. My world was turned upside down. Completely devastated, I quit my job, got in my car and drove for hours until I reached the closest beach. For the first time in my life, I didn’t have a plan. I had no clue what to do next.
My next few days we spent laying on the beach, evaluating my life on a deeper level. I knew I couldn’t go back to my old life. I was no longer the same person, and I felt as if I had been sleepwalking through my life.
Suddenly, California popped into my mind. When I visited California on spring break my freshman year in college, I fell in love. I dreamed of moving there one day. California felt like a dream land. I was obsessed with the scenic beaches, surfers, and sunshine.
I started to envision what my life would look like if I lived there. In that moment, I decided to move across the country. I felt as if California, and my dream of moving there, was the only way I could move forward with my life.
At that point, I had 5 months left of my lease. I got a job bartending, picked up every shift possible, and saved every dime I could. Five months later, it was time to set out on this huge adventure.
I filled my car with all of my belongings and hit the road.
This solo road trip across the country taught me many things. Of course it was scary, but getting through that fear, made me feel alive again. Pushing through the fear of uncertainty and figuring things out on my own uplifted my spirit.
Quickly, I solidified a job bartending at a bar near the beach, and made amazing life long friends. I felt accomplished and happy, but I knew bartending wasn’t going to fulfill me long term.My sights were set on being a successful real estate agent and four months later I was a licensed realtor. I wanted to live in a huge mansion overlooking the ocean and drive a range rover. Straight up OC style! I’m not kidding, I thought, if I could do that, then I would be successful.
Fast forward a few years, I found myself working at a very busy real estate office working 45+ hours a week. It was a great job by societies definition, but I felt trapped. The only thing keeping me going was planning my weekend adventures, and dreaming about vacations I would never be able to take, as long as I worked there. I didn’t want to spend another day building someone else’s dreams, I wanted to start building my own. So I quit my job and set out on the next adventure.
I am currently living in an RV with my best friend Jordan Griffin. We are exploring the US and hope to visit as many US National Parks as possible throughout the next year!
I am focusing all of my attention and energy on building and creating a life that I want to live. One full of exploration, travel and adventure. I would love to share this crazy adventure with you! I sincerely hope it inspires you to adventure more, or better yet, to follow whatever dreams you may be dreaming! It’s never too late to start over and create a life you have always imagined.
